2005 Alcan Alcan 290

The hull is from a ALCAN 290 series built in 1968.
The boat has been rebuilt entirely out of Aluminum for structural support for passengers on the upper decks. The upper decks can seat up to eight people in comfort. Both upper decks railing are at 38 inches and the main walk about deck railing are 29 inches for commercial specks. The captains seat is spring over hydraulic and fully adjustable up 280 pound person and both captain and first mate seats are made from Noggahide materials for long life, both seats are made by Bentley. All the bench seats are of the same material. I have been building the boat for over six years and have had a love for the Alcan boats history. The boats hull has a 200 gallon
tank built into the hull for fresh water and ballast
for over 10 people on the upper decks for commercial
specks. The tank was built by Barr Plastics and is fully baffled and is built out of half inch HDPE. The original hull was wire wheel and skinned in Epoxy coat on the in side to spot any Oxidization from fatiguing do to moister. All open chambers
are filled with A/B foam for sound dampening and for floatation safety. The boat is unsinkable by the manufacturer specification.
The boat was a dream and now I am unable to finish it. I have over $65000.00 in to it and it is unfinished, I understand my loss will be at around 50% but I must sell. I hope the pictures of this boat interest someone who would like to build a boat to suit them. She,s built to last the tests of time, and she,s one of a kind. 100 percent aluminum. I alone have about 6500 hours into this boat. The hull has a slip stream at 15% witch means she will get up on a plan at around 16 to 18 mph. Two 150 horse power will be a blast. All decks are and swimgrid as well inside steps leading to upper deck are lit with LED GEL PACKS very nice and clean.
